The Electronic Throttle VIC-1B ESC was designed by Victor Kmosek of Victor Engineering based in Huntington Beach, CA. This is the same brand making also the famous HI-IQ and Super-IQ computerized chargers, maybe the first microprocessor controlled chargers.TheElectronic Throttle was a new range of Victor ESCs, released in 1985 and consisting of four ESCs overall for different needs and price tags.

All of the Victor ESC are using FET powertransistors as most other new designed ESCs. Unique is the use of an aluminium case where other brands are using plastic case or just heatshrink as a lot of the European manufacturers. Also a LED was used for full-speed indication, other brands introduced this much later.
